Do you have a passion for plants and love to spread your knowledge with others? The Shelmerdine Greenhouse is bursting with plants all year long, and needs friendly, energetic individuals to help take care of the plants and help customers find the right plants for their space!
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional customer service to customers
- Suggesting proper plant material for the lighting requirements that the customer has
- Providing customers with the proper care and maintenance information for the plants being purchased
- Maintaining plants by pruning them and watering them to ensure the highest quality is always available to customers, we want to be their favourite greenhouse to come to!
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- Basic plant knowledge is an asset
- A positive, friendly attitude, our motto is ‘work hard and be nice!”
- Customer service oriented
- Be able to spend long hours on your feet
- Be able to work in a greenhouse where temperatures fluctuate and can get quite warm
- Punctuality, and flexible with scheduling to the needs of the business, which can include weekends and evenings
